Epcot Pages

Every summer my mom, my family and my sister’s family go on vacation together. There are nine of us total and this year we will grow to ten because my niece got married this summer. Every time we go to Disney, Epcot ends up being the park we spend the most time in. We all love the countries. The detail of each country is really unbelievable and the food is awesome. We love the light show they have at dark “Illuminations”. I had a hard time picking which pictures I wanted to use so it ended up being a three page layout. I used Karen Foster pattern paper, textured Wild Wasabi, and Creamy Caramel. I distressed with close to cocoa. I used some vintage stickers I found in one of the stores in downtown Disney. I picked the ones that looked like travel and adventure. I used a fast pass from the new ride that year Soarin’ as a tab on the last picture. The title was done with the Cricut Disney cartridge.

Have a great evening and thanks for visiting!!

Disney Page

I got a chance to work on my Disney book today. I got five more pages done!! The first page is of the July fourth fireworks in Magic Kingdom. I took a bunch of pictures but only two turned out scrapable . It is very hard to get a clear picture of fireworks. My sister and I picked up some embellishments at Disney. I used some Mickey face eyelets, sizzix for the stars, Disney cricut cartridge for the title, Disney blue pattern paper, real red, brilliant blue, whisper white cardstock. In the second page we were shopping in Downtown Disney and I wanted to add a guide so we can see the changes every time we visit. I used my Disney cartridge to make “ticket” titles, Disney punches for the faces, Mickey paper clip on the guide, real red, basic black, whisper white cardstock.

Past Disney Pages

I made these pages around 18 months ago right when we got back from Disney summer of 2006. I stopped working on this scrapbook to work on a scrapbook that I was making for a friend. Then one thing lead to another and I never got back to it. Well we are planning a trip to Disney this summer and I do not want to be backed up so the next few days I'm going to try and finish it. I got a pretty good start. I laid out all the pictures and set them in piles to pick which ones I want to use. I got out all my Disney stuff, embellishments, punches, paper, etc. on a long table for quick access. So wish me luck!!

I can’t remember all the supplies I used for these pages. I used my George cartridge on my cricut machine for the titling. Now I have the Disney font cartridge to use on future pages. Yea!! I used by sizzix for the ghosts and tombstones. On the Everest pages I used whisper white craft pad to make the snow on the hills but over the past year and a half it turned tan. Go figure? I guess the brown paper bleed through?? I used a Disney punch then punched paw prints in the middle to look like big foot prints. The big purple place on the page is for journaling that I have to correct and reprint. On all journaling I used my Creative Keepsakes CD-Rom. On the Narnia page I used a gift certificate my husband got me for Christmas. The pattern paper was from different places and I could not even begin to tell you where is was purchased. I mean it has been almost two years!! I am getting old ;)

Thanks for visiting and have a great evening!!

Kayla's Fall 2006 Homecoming

I started this layout last week on our snow day planning to finish it the next day because a local radio station reported us off. Well the radio station was WRONG and we did not get another snow day. Then my husband and I got the crud and I have not felt to creative . But today the weather here is beautiful, low 70’s and partly sunny!! (Last week it was snowy and teens!!! Burrr!!!) After work I drove around with my window down and in short sleeves. In January!!! The day was so wonderful I mean who wouldn‘t fell creative!!! I also had the house to my self for a few hours so TADA layout finished. I also wanted to finish this layout and get it in my daughters high school scrapbook before she wondered into my scrap room and saw it. You see the boy in the bottom corner was her boyfriend for two years. These pictures where taken in fall 2006. That is how far behind I am. They had been dating for about one year then. He broke up with her this fall three day before this homecoming. I will have to say that I am not sorry that I am behind in my scraping. If I had scraped this homecoming then I would have probably put way to much focus to them as a couple. Now I made it about memories for her to look back on when she is older. Not just the boyfriend at the time who took her but about family that came and help her get ready and shared in her evening. She was heart broken when he broke up but she still wanted to go to the homecoming so a friend took her. I will have to say that it is probably better that they have broke up. I don’t think this boy was right for her. I really like him don’t get me wrong, she just seem happier now. She is now dating someone else and even her daddy likes the new guy . LOL!! You know how daddy’s are about their girls.

Stuff I used:
Groovy Guava textured 12x12
Basic Grey Blush pattern paper
Creamy Caramel, Vanilla, Wild Wasabi cardstock
Delight in life stamp set
Largest marvy scallop punch and computer for title

Have a great evening and thanks for visiting!!

Autumn's Soccer Pages

Here is one of the projects I got done today. I should have more to post tomorrow, if we are really canceled again. These layouts are of Autumn when she played soccer this past spring. Her first love is basketball but she gave soccer a chance because her older cousin Matt loves to play. But I believe she did not like it to much and doesn’t plan to play next year.

Things I used for this project:

Doodle Bug stickers
Doodle Bug Limeade Sugar on letters I cut out with my cricut, George cart.
River Rock cardstock for matting and pattern paper I’m not sure about. Sorry!
Flower is Bazzil with a Doodle Bug sugar brad in the middle

New Years Party

On New Years Eve we have a get together with are family and friends. All together we had 28 people come over ranging for age 2 on up. Everyone brought food and we ate way to much. In these picture you can see two of the four surfaces that where cover with food. Everyone played games and talked. My hubby played Rook for hours and you can see little Sophie wanted to play parcheese and her dad John getting a little frustrated trying to keep her hands off the piecesJ. She almost made it to midnight but I finally got her to go to sleep in my daughters bed. We all had a blast and my husband and are looking forward to next year. I hope everyone had a safe and memorable New Years!! Thanks for looking!!

SNOW DAYS

My Girls and I where suppose to go back to school today after a two week Christmas Break. But I was woke up at 5:50 this morning by a call from my boss telling school was canceled!! While we slept two plus inches of snow fell!! I know after being off two week I should have been ready to go back to work but I’m not and I was thrilled to have another day to scrap!! Maybe it is because this break is so busy with Christmas and then New Years is why I was not ready to go back and also I have not gotten to stamp as much as I planned to. Any ways I have enjoyed this day off and one of the local radio stations has reported that we are closed tomorrow to (more stampin’ time) . Here are a few pictures of my youngest getting ready to slay with her best friend.
