They can make card crafting so effortless. Then add to that a great sketch that helps the creative process like Freshly Made Sketches weekly sketches and I am a happy girl. I used Stampin Up! set petal potpourri and coordinating punch. I also used SU Flourish thinlits and the sentiment is from Michael's recollections set. Cardstock is Stampin Up!

This is the first time I have tried my hand at Case this Sketch! I'm so glad I did because this sketch got my creative juices flowing today. I am in love with this pattern paper pad from Michael's, Mint To Be by Craft Smart. I purchased several to make three of the dry erase calendar pictured. I purchase the background matte from Hobby Lobby right before the quarantine and I will have to wait until they reopen to pick up two more mattes to make the other calendars. I have so much of the pattern paper left and as soon as I checked out the card sketch I knew I had to use the lemon paper to make a card. I love lemons :) I used pink and white cardstock from Stampin Up! and cut the banner sentiment with my Maker. The flowers are from a daisy punch I have had for years. The little fence is a die cut from Darice. The white calendar frame is Studio Décor from Michael's. I have a large empty wall in my dining room and I love all things planner so I came up with the idea to make three large dry erase boards. I wanted to make it easier for my husband and I keep up with three months of appointments, vacations, etc. cause as we get older we are getting so forgetful. ;) The cover opening had a very thin plastic so I replaced it with thicker plexiglass from Lowe's. I had to replace it because the dry erase maker would not come off the original plastic that came with the frame. If you watch the frames will go on sale buy 1 get 2 free and that is the best time to grab them.

It has been so long since I have posted anything let alone a challenge that I am trying. I love Freshly Made Sketches. They are always so inspiring. Go check them out!!
Once I got started making a card I just had to make two. I then made the little note card from scraps....no since wasting lol.
I used goodies from several companies. The cardstock is Stampin' Up!, pattern paper is The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby and the stamp set is CTMH Cherishing Her (February stamp of the month). I used ribbon and embossing folder from Stamping Up! the fence is a die cut from Darce. Hope you enjoy!!Kelli in Kentuckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15005015239067025785noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31734455.post-58559199867794446852020-04-19T23:38:00.000-04:002020-04-19T23:38:51.818-04:00It's been so long!!Hello from Kentucky. It has been so very long since I have posted on my blog. When I originally started this blog I was working a part time job in a local school system and my daughters were teenagers. I then got a full time job and life got so busy!! My daughters grow up and starting their families, I now have four beautiful, awesome, brilliant grandchildren. I have 3 girls and 1 boy who call me Mimi. I was working full time, spending time with my family, going to church and taking care of our home. It just came to the point that I had was trying to find time to craft and I could not keep up a blog also. I did on occasion post pictures to my Instagram, kelliroberts1009. Then over a year ago the company I worked for sold to another company and they did not need any of the staff from my office so once all the dusted settled we were all out of a job. In the end it has been a wonderful blessing. I am home now spending time with my family and my elderly mom. I have been busy crafting and having so much fun. I now love to make wreaths, create many many things with vinyl and still papercraft.
I never stopped looking at my favorite blogs even though I did not post on mine. I loved the inspiration and all the pretty things that were still being shared. I started itching to post again. I want to join in on challenges and post some of the past projects I have done over the last year. So if you once followed me and find be again or if you are a new follower.....hello friend and welcome. I hope you can forgive me for being gone so long. This is a really quick card to put together and was perfect for my busy schedule. I used SU stamp set Starburst Sayings and the matching Framelits from the occasion’s catty. The pattern paper is Venetian Romance with brown sugar, crisp cantaloupe and pool party cardstock ink and embellishments.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.

I can not believe that it is already September.....boy time has flown by at record speeds this year it seems. The last post list on my blog is from February but I have actually posted a few more times since then from my iPhone but when I checked them from my work computer they were all out of line and messed up so I deleted them. I had been having trouble with my laptop that is why I was posting using an app on my phone. But just two weekends ago I got a new HP computer desktop with a bigger screen for my old eye lol so I hope that posting will be fun again and not a stressful event. :) Today I am posting pics of my oldest daughters baby shower and the decorations that I made for it. I made the little cradles and owl invites and table centerpieces using my Cricut. I used baby shower and create a critter cartridges. I used CTMH cardstock and pattern paper because it was the only company that I could get bulk paper in the colors my daughter wanted to us. I use Chantilly workshop and cotton candy, buttercup, sunset, pear and ruby cardstock. I LOVE Chantilly paper and I plan to use it to scrap most of my granddaughters first year. :) I also made two larger cradles to place on either side of the jar centerpiece. I set up 8 tables....so I made 8 jar centerpieces, 16 large cradles and 60 "cradle full of kisses" treat favors. My daughter and I also made 60 plus invites to send out. we have been very busy the past couple of months. My daughter made the wreath behind the gift table.....she got the creative talent from me. ;). The dark haired beauty is my youngest daughter Autumn. I love my girl so very much and enjoy all the work that went into the shower to celebrate my granddaughter Evalynn Ann!! I can not wait to meet her. I hope everyone has a good week!!

These are some of the Valentine treats I have been working on for my friends and co-workers. As I have said before my big sis sells CTMH and in January they had this kit, Whoo's your Valentine, that had a V-day stamp set, glitter paper and three pieces of cardstock, 12 tubes, the cardstock bases already cut and scored in it. All I had to do is fold glue and decorate bases and fill with candy. The kit only cost $10 I think with a $30 purchase. It was a great deal and made my Valentine day treating so very easy. They sell the tubes in the new catty in a quantity of 6 so I believe I will have to get more and come up with another holder for them. I use so many different products when decorating them that it will be hard to list everything. The candy bars are Dove bars cover in the More Amore paper and I used the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and framelits to decorate them…oh and the That’s the Ticket set and ticket punch.
Thanks for visiting and have a great evening!!

Good Monday Morning I have been working on the last of my Valentine cards this weekend. I made two cards from the same sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I mixed them up a bit using ribbon on one and cardstock punch trim on the other. All products are SU except the little heart punch I used and glitter paper. I am rushing to get ready for work and will post supply list later also I have some Valentine treats to post also.
Have a good Monday and thanks for visiting!!

I found this Halloween card when I was cleaning my scrap area up. I love this Halloween DSP I hope it goes on the clearance rack eventually cause I will get more if it does. I am also posting a picture of our puppy Logan in his wildcat jersey. He is just over six months old and so much fun. My husband got him right after we lost are very beloved dachshund Sadie in September. She was the sweetest natured dog that I have ever owned. My girls and I were so upset my husband found Logan the next day and got him for our family. The girls are not for sure if they like him yet...he is pretty rotten at times. I think they forgot how a puppy acts lol. He is a handful but a joy. This is the first dog my husband has allowed to sleep with us. Jerry is pretty attached...I think he likes having another male in the house finally!! Hope everyone has a great day!!

It is found that mixture of honey and cinnamon cures most of the diseases. Honey is produced in most of the countries of the world.

Scientists of today also accept honey as a "Ram Ban" (very effective) medicine for all kinds of diseases.

Honey can be used without any side effects for any kind of diseases. Today's science says that even though honey is sweet, if taken in the right dosage as a medicine, it does not harm diabetic patients. Weekly World News, a magazine in Canada, in its issue dated 17 January, 1995 has given the following list of diseases that can be cured by honey and cinnamon as researched by western scientists.

HEART DISEASES: Make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder, apply on bread, chapatti, or other bread, instead of jelly and jam and eat it regularly for breakfast. It reduces the cholesterol in the arteries and saves the patient from heart attack. Also those who already had an attack, if they do this process daily, are kept miles away from the next attack. Regular use of the above process relieves loss of breath and strengthens the heart beat. In America and Canada, various nursing homes have treated patients successfully and have found that as you age, the arteries and veins lose their flexibility and get clogged; honey and cinnamon revitalizes the arteries and veins.

BLADDER INFECTIONS: Take two tablespoons of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey in a glass of lukewarm water and drink it. It destroys the germs in the bladder.

TOOTHACHE: Make a paste of one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and five teaspoons of honey and apply on the aching tooth. This may be applied three times a day until the tooth stops aching.

CHOLESTEROL: Two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of cinnamon powder mixed in 16 ounces of tea water, given to a cholesterol

patient, was found to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood by 10% within 2 hours. As mentioned for arthritic patients, if taken 3 times a day, any chronic cholesterol is cured. As per information received in the said journal, pure honey taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.

COLDS: Those suffering from common or severe colds should take one tablespoon lukewarm honey with 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder daily for 3 days. This process will cure most chronic cough, cold and clear the sinuses.

UPSET STOMACH: Honey taken with cinnamon powder cures stomach ache and also clears stomach ulcers from the root.

GAS: According to the studies done in India & Japan, it is revealed that if honey is taken with cinnamon powder the stomach is relieved of gas.

IMMUNE SYSTEM: Daily use of honey and cinnamon powder strengthens the immune system and protects the body from bacteria and viral attacks. Scientists have found that honey has various vitamins and iron in large amounts.

Constant use of honey strengthens the white blood corpuscles to fight bacteria and viral diseases.

INDIGESTION: Cinnamon powder sprinkled on two tablespoons of honey taken before food, relieves acidity and digests the heaviest of meals.

INFLUENZA: A scientist in Spain has proved that honey contains a natural ingredient which kills the influenza germs and saves the patient from flu.

LONGEVITY: Tea made with honey and cinnamon powder, when taken regularly, arrests the ravages of old age. Take 4 teaspoons of honey, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder and 3 cups of water and boil to make like tea. Drink 1/4 cup, 3 to 4 times a day. It keeps the skin fresh and soft and arrests old age.

PIMPLES: Mix three tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon to make a powder paste. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm water. If done daily for two weeks, it removes pimples from the root.

SKIN INFECTIONS: Apply honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts on the affected parts to cure eczema, ringworm and all types of skin infections.

WEIGHT LOSS: Daily in the morning 1/2 hour before breakfast on an empty stomach and at night before sleeping, drink honey and cinnamon powder boiled in one cup water. If taken regularly, it reduces the weight of even the most obese person. Also, drinking this mixture regularly does not allow the fat to accumulate in the body even though the person may eat a high calorie diet.

CANCER: Recent research in Japan and Australia has revealed that advanced cancer of the stomach and bones have been cured successfully. Patients suffering from these kinds of cancer should daily take one tablespoon of honey with one teaspoon of cinnamon powder for one month 3 times a day.

FATIGUE: Recent studies have shown that the sugar content of honey is more helpful rather than being detrimental to the strength of the body. Senior citizens who take honey and cinnamon power in equal parts are more alert and flexible.

Dr. Milton who has done research says that a half tablespoon honey taken in a glass of water and sprinkled with cinnamon powder, taken daily after brushing your teeth and in the afternoon at about 3:00 p.m. When the vitality of the body starts to decrease, increases the vitality of the body within a week.

BAD BREATH: People of South America first thing in the morning gargle with one teaspoon of honey and cinnamon powder mixed in hot water, so their breath stays fresh throughout the day.
I have started making some Valentine’s cards. Valentine’s is my second favorite holiday….Halloween being my favorite. One of the reasons is that February 16th is my husband and mine’s wedding anniversary and this year will have been married 22 years. I used this week’s Freshly Made Sketches card sketch . It is a very simple and versatile sketch. I believe I will use it again for some birthday, get well or sympathy cards in the next couple of week. I really need to get some of those made up ahead of time. The baby card it a past FMS sketch and the two Christmas cards are the last ones I made for Christmas gifts. Thanks for stopping by hope you have had a wonderful weekend and have a blessed week.

I love a lot of the products in the holiday mini from SU. The bundles they have of the new stamp sets with coordinating framelits made me take the plunge and try out the framelits and I am hooked!! I have a great love of gingerbread men and the little gingerbread man framelit and stamp are adorable. I use Freshly made Sketches a lot in make most of the cards in this post. I just did not have access to my computer because my daughter needed to use it for school. I did use this week’s sketch and I love how the cards turned out. I made the mason jars to fill with oreo balls for my bosses at work. I used SU paper on all the projects and I used the CTMH Artiste cricut cartridge on the mason jars. I love this cartridge it does 3D projects, rosettes, cards and so much more. The glitter “dollies” where cut with it also. I hope you enjoy!! Have a great evening!!

The Weather Channel is predicting a high tomorrow of only 47...YIKES I am not ready for it to be that cold. I came straight home from work and made some cards to brighten my day and help me try to forget that I will be freezing tomorrow lol.

My oldest daughter LOVES Tim Burton films and her favorite is Nightmare before Christmas. When I checked out Rita Wright’s adorable Stocking Christmas card at Freshly Made Sketches I got the idea to try a Halloween stocking in honor of Jack Skellington. I totally cased her card. I used Martha Stewart’s goop punch for the top of the stocking and everything else used on this card is SU. I usually like to make a couple of cards with each sketch challenge I try. On the second card I made for this challenge I used CTMH set Thriller and a CTMH purple jewel for the eye on the skull. The Halloween ribbon is from Michael’s, pattern paper, cardstock and ink are SU. I still have many more Halloween cards to make before next weekend so I will be busy busy in my craft room. Guess what…..I am a perfect princess this week on the freshly made sketches Blog. Linda Callahan picked my wicked chick card from my last post. I am very excited and being picked just made my day…actually it made my week!! Thanks so much Linda!!

I have been out today getting goodies for my Halloween treats and I plan to work on them and post pics next week. In the mean time….I hopped over to Mojo Monday Blog to check out the sketch for this week and I loved it. The first stamp set that came to mind is a CTMH set I got from my sister this summer “Find Your Style” and also the yummy fall paper from SU “Spice Cake” I had to change up the sketch a little and place the accordion accent at the top corner instead of the bottom. It just fit better there. I am really lovin’ those accordion medallions so you will most likely see more of them in the coming weeks. Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!! I am very sorry for my absence. I have created some over the last year but I was always making it at the last minute and did not take the time to take pictures. I will have to admit that my creativity until about three months ago seemed to have taken a vacation. Then around the first of June my oldest daughter announced that she was getting married October 1. Well I have been paper crafting and have accumulated hundreds of $$ with of supplies over the last six years or so and I need to put them to use!!!! Well long story short….I got those creative juices flowing again. I will post some of the wedding items later on (and pictures of the bride)…for today I am posting the first challenge I have done it forever. When playing around this week on my blog and checking out all my favorite bloggers I came across a new sketch challenge site called Freshly Made Sketches. I fell in love with their sketches and examples from the first click!!!

Its is my favorite time of year…fall. I soooo need to get busy making cards and treats for my friends and work buddies….oh and the little ones at church. These are just the beginning of many more cards I need to make in the weeks coming up.

Paper and ink are all SU, stamp set it CTMH Wicked, punches are SU and Martha Stewart. Thanks for looking and hope you have a wonderful night!!!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 285px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uuovFAFjKJg/TpZljYuGKZI/AAAAAAAABQM/piryY7_AObg/s400/Sketch_6.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5662825240070597010" />Kelli in Kentuckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15005015239067025785noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31734455.post-68616560092855639902010-10-01T08:37:00.001-04:002010-10-01T08:41:40.713-04:002010 In color Wicked Cool<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_s4QhRvqRd4M/TKXWQvl656I/AAAAAAAABPU/_11OH81pdfk/s400/P1040139.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5523056101181548450" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_s4QhRvqRd4M/TKXWQTq2z2I/AAAAAAAABPM/7GimtkTgoN4/s400/P1040140.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5523056093686058850" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_s4QhRvqRd4M/TKXWQJAWSrI/AAAAAAAABPE/-ulCJT3jGDY/s400/P1040143.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5523056090823412402" />

I used the new In color from Stampin Up to make all these Halloween Projects. The Halloween set Wicked Cool can be found in the SU catalog. I wanted to make some cards using only cardstock and no DP. I used my embossing folders to give the cards some pop. The little treat box is made out of the Sizzix scallop envelope you need to two envelopes cut out and two 2 ¼ x 1 5/8 pieces. I found the idea on Chat Wszelaki’s blog Me, My Stamps and I. She has step my step pictures on how to make them.

Here is a link to the post: Envelope Box and Cards

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I use the hostess set Just Because on the so saffron and olive cards. I use a technique that I found on line a couple of weeks ago. You take an flower image you usually have to watercolor and stamp it on pattern paper and it gives a faux watercolor look. I love the results and it is so much easier than water coloring. Two other cards use a set from the summer mini. I love the bright colors and my daughter used them as thank you cards for her graduation gifts. The last card was very simple. I used color pencils on the image and the set is a retired hostess set. Tanks so much for visiting and have a great evening.Kelli in Kentuckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15005015239067025785noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31734455.post-3633514026065820342010-06-24T21:25:00.003-04:002010-06-24T21:38:30.853-04:00A whole lot of projects<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_s4QhRvqRd4M/TCQIG7gJ8SI/AAAAAAAABOM/_YEqIQsK-w0/s320/card8.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5486519161188905250" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_s4QhRvqRd4M/TCQIGNk5COI/AAAAAAAABOE/ky2fIbuxOAI/s320/card7.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5486519148860737762" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_s4QhRvqRd4M/TCQIFsojcLI/AAAAAAAABN8/pLalk0aUeWA/s320/card6.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5486519140017729714" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_s4QhRvqRd4M/TCQGQxxjiEI/AAAAAAAABN0/UJCYhBNGjgo/s320/card5.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5486517131352967234" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_s4QhRvqRd4M/TCQGQHM1eRI/AAAAAAAABNs/HqcHZSn0FJs/s320/card4.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5486517119924664594" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_s4QhRvqRd4M/TCQGPoG0hSI/AAAAAAAABNk/OHkxU3o4nSI/s320/card3.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5486517111577937186" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_s4QhRvqRd4M/TCQGO1hrPjI/AAAAAAAABNc/72UhoR4Jgxc/s320/card2.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5486517098000367154" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_s4QhRvqRd4M/TCQGOd5EXBI/AAAAAAAABNU/1Nakkzom4iU/s320/card1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5486517091656031250" />

Wow it has been a very long time since has posted. I got a new job in March and have been getting use to it. I also changed the location of my scrap room from the basement to an upstairs bedroom so it would be easier to make time to paper craft. We have had a busy spring also. My oldest daughter graduated from high school and my youngest has had summer basketball camp. But it seems life will get on a schedule for a bit. I am posted some projects I did this spring that I was able to get pictures of. I will also post some picture of thank you cards I made for my daughter for graduation gifts she received. Almost all products use are SU except the yellow and green card and I used CTMH paper and ribbon. Thanks for visiting and have a good evening!!Kelli in Kentuckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15005015239067025785noreply@blogger.com1
