Turquoise Butterfly and Cupcakes

Wow I have not gotten to post in a while. Since I took on the second job last month it is hard to post. Also weekends have gotten kind of busy since the weather has turned warm. But I really love the second job I have taken on at Raceland 21st Century after school program. The people I work with are great and the kids are a lot of fun.

I got to play some this weekend and I made two cards. I need to get some cards built up in my card box for birthdays and such that come up since sometimes it is hard to set down and make cards on the spur of the moment.

Hero Arts Stamps, Judith Stamps

Choc. Chip Ink
SU Punches and Ribbon, Cuttlebug Folder

Priceless Set

Looks like I'm ready for SPRING

This is the first card I made with my new goodies!! I saw the color challenge on SC yesterday and had to try it out. Then I checked out the sketch today and decided to combine them. This color challenge is so cheery and springy. I love it and don’t you just love this little guy. He is a lot of fun to work with. I used a Judith stamp I have had for a while that “speckles“. I speckled the three inks on WW and then embossed it with a CB folder. I used all three boho flowers with a white brad.

I wanted to let everyone know that Autumn is doing well right now. The ear nose and throat doc could not see the damage yet for the infection in her ear. He gave her new drops to take that should clear up the infection and then he will check her again in two weeks. She does not hurt anymore but she does not hear as well in that ear as before. The Doctor said she will hear better when it heals. Thanks so much for everyone’s comments and concerns. It was a very scary evening Friday but things seem to be getting back to normal. My oldest daughter, Kayla has been coughing for over a month. She went to see the allergist today and got allergy test done. She has asthma and is very allergic to dust and mold among other things. The doctor has her on new meds and we should see some improvement and relief for her in a few days. What can I say it is the season to be sick. Everyone I know is sick!!! So anyways here is the stuff I used for the card.

Supplies I used:
A Good Egg, Judith stamps
Certainly Celery, Orchid Opulence, Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
Certainly Celery, Orchid Opulence, Pumpkin Pie Ink
Cuttlebug folder, Pumpkin Pie marker, white brads boho flower punch, celery ribbon

Thanks for Visiting!! Have a great evening!!

Splitcoast Challenge sc134

I really love this sketch. I am planning to make some Christmas Cards with it next. I mean it's never to early to get christmas cards ready. I don't post alot of the challenges mostly because I don't have time to get on the computer and post them. Between my husband and my two daughters it hard to get the computer sometimes. Then when it is availible I'm checking out what everyone else has posted. I usually take a block of time and post stuff when everyone is out of the house (which is very rare).

I cased Nutsymuhl’s card. Click on the blog title to view it.

I used chatterbox paper and also did cc124. I used cricut mini monograms to make the scalloped circle and cuttlebug divine swirls. I stressed the embossing by using a stipple brush and old olive ink. I found I got a smoother finish by using scrap paper under the embossed paper and brushing from the scrap paper onto the embossed paper.
