Halloween Stocking FMS7

It has been a yucky day here in Kentucky temperatures are falling and it has been raining all day. The Weather Channel is predicting a high tomorrow of only 47...YIKES I am not ready for it to be that cold. I came straight home from work and made some cards to brighten my day and help me try to forget that I will be freezing tomorrow lol.

My oldest daughter LOVES Tim Burton films and her favorite is Nightmare before Christmas. When I checked out Rita Wright’s adorable Stocking Christmas card at Freshly Made Sketches I got the idea to try a Halloween stocking in honor of Jack Skellington. I totally cased her card. I used Martha Stewart’s goop punch for the top of the stocking and everything else used on this card is SU. I usually like to make a couple of cards with each sketch challenge I try. On the second card I made for this challenge I used CTMH set Thriller and a CTMH purple jewel for the eye on the skull. The Halloween ribbon is from Michael’s, pattern paper, cardstock and ink are SU. I still have many more Halloween cards to make before next weekend so I will be busy busy in my craft room. Happy Tuesday everyone!! Guess what…..I am a perfect princess this week on the freshly made sketches Blog. Linda Callahan picked my wicked chick card from my last post. I am very excited and being picked just made my day…actually it made my week!! Thanks so much Linda!!

I have been out today getting goodies for my Halloween treats and I plan to work on them and post pics next week. In the mean time….I hopped over to Mojo Monday Blog to check out the sketch for this week and I loved it. The first stamp set that came to mind is a CTMH set I got from my sister this summer “Find Your Style” and also the yummy fall paper from SU “Spice Cake” I had to change up the sketch a little and place the accordion accent at the top corner instead of the bottom. It just fit better there. I am really lovin’ those accordion medallions so you will most likely see more of them in the coming weeks. Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!! Thanks for visiting.

Wicked Chick

It has been a little over a year since I posted to my blog. I am very sorry for my absence. I have created some over the last year but I was always making it at the last minute and did not take the time to take pictures. I will have to admit that my creativity until about three months ago seemed to have taken a vacation. Then around the first of June my oldest daughter announced that she was getting married October 1. Well I have been paper crafting and have accumulated hundreds of $$ with of supplies over the last six years or so and I need to put them to use!!!! Well long story short….I got those creative juices flowing again. I will post some of the wedding items later on (and pictures of the bride)…for today I am posting the first challenge I have done it forever. When playing around this week on my blog and checking out all my favorite bloggers I came across a new sketch challenge site called Freshly Made Sketches. I fell in love with their sketches and examples from the first click!!!

Its is my favorite time of year…fall. I soooo need to get busy making cards and treats for my friends and work buddies….oh and the little ones at church. These are just the beginning of many more cards I need to make in the weeks coming up.

2010 In color Wicked Cool

I used the new In color from Stampin Up to make all these Halloween Projects. The Halloween set Wicked Cool can be found in the SU catalog. I wanted to make some cards using only cardstock and no DP. I used my embossing folders to give the cards some pop. The little treat box is made out of the Sizzix scallop envelope you need to two envelopes cut out and two 2 ¼ x 1 5/8 pieces. I found the idea on Chat Wszelaki’s blog Me, My Stamps and I. She has step my step pictures on how to make them.

Summer Cards

Here are some cards that I have worked on this summer. I use the hostess set Just Because on the so saffron and olive cards. I use a technique that I found on line a couple of weeks ago. You take an flower image you usually have to watercolor and stamp it on pattern paper and it gives a faux watercolor look. I love the results and it is so much easier than water coloring. Two other cards use a set from the summer mini. I love the bright colors and my daughter used them as thank you cards for her graduation gifts. The last card was very simple. I used color pencils on the image and the set is a retired hostess set. Tanks so much for visiting and have a great evening.

Wow it has been a very long time since has posted. I got a new job in March and have been getting use to it. I also changed the location of my scrap room from the basement to an upstairs bedroom so it would be easier to make time to paper craft. We have had a busy spring also. My oldest daughter graduated from high school and my youngest has had summer basketball camp. But it seems life will get on a schedule for a bit. I am posted some projects I did this spring that I was able to get pictures of. I will also post some picture of thank you cards I made for my daughter for graduation gifts she received. Almost all products use are SU except the yellow and green card and I used CTMH paper and ribbon. Thanks for visiting and have a good evening!!

Valentine Cards

Hello everyone!!! I can’t believe how long is has been since I posted. November….Wow!! I guess life just gets away from us sometimes. Yesterday was our 19th wedding anniversary. Can’t believe it has been 19 years. I am so very luck to have Jerry as my husband and Best Friend. I thought I would post some of the Valentine cards I made this month. We made them at my last card class. Everyone loved the heart cups and I saw this morning on SU site where they are going to put them in the next catalog that will come out this summer. I stocked up on the cups my last order just in case but I’m very glad I will be able to get more when I run out. There is one card I am posting that was not made for valentines but for a baby shower. The shower had a heart them so I went with the red and pink colors. I used a CTMH stamp set on that card but all the other cards I used SU products. Oh except for the white buttons and those are some buttons I had horded in my stash. The Valentine pattern paper is in the mini occasions catalog. ;) Hope everyone has a great week. Friendship Paperbag Scrapbook

This is the last post for today. This book is a friend book. I used a paper package from another catalog sell stamp company. I used my Cricut a lot on this book the cartridge I used was Storybook. I love that cartridge!! The cover words I made on the computer and I found the quote in a quote book I have. Again I used my bind it all to bind the paper bags. Hope everyone has a good weekend!!

Here is the second UK book I did most of the supplies I did are the same. I used the SU flower punch. To glitter the letters I ran the front side through my glue runner and then rubbed fine white glitter on it. Oh the stickers were part of the UK paper package I purchased and all ribbon is SU also. The white word "tiles" are magnets from Windstream.

Kentucky Wildcats Paperbag Scrapbook

I have been working on some paper bag scrapbooks for a friend the last couple of weeks. She need five made 3 for Christmas presents and 2 for herself. One for each child, she has twins a boy and an girl. I have four of them done and working on the fifth. I thought it would be easier to put each book in a separate post so today there will be three posts for the books she need for gifts and sometime this week I’ll post the boy and the girl books when I get done with the last book and take pictures. This first book is a Kentucky Wildcats book for a girl. I found the UK paper in Lexington at a scrap store when I went to Big Blue Madness. The white word “tiles” are actually magnets that Windstream gave to everyone when they walked in the door. My friend Becky laughed at when my eyes lite up with excitement cause I could use them when scrappin‘. On the cover I used my cricut on chipboard and then Stampin Up! whisper white and stamped swiss dots on the whisper white letters. All stamps and cardstock used are SU. I bound the bags with my bind it all. More posts to come in a bit.

Some Cards for the Season

Here are a few of the cards I have made for the Christmas season and also a card for Thanksgiving. I used Razzleberry in every card. It is a great color and I‘ll have to stock up before it retires in the summer. The Melon Mambo and Razzleberry card and matching treat box is very no-traditional but I like being radical like that. :} The stamp set I used for three of the projects is SU hostess set in the Holiday Mini “Pattern Pines“. I liked this set as soon as I saw it in the mini and love all the stuff I’ve seen on split coast using it. On the Thanksgiving card I used a sizzix green die I have had for years of a maple leaf and then ran them through my Big shot using an textured folder. I hope you enjoy!! Have a good evening!!

Very Large Post

This is a large post cause I’m uploading all the stampin left on my SD card. We are going to Kentucky’s Big Blue Madness tomorrow and my husband is attending a Calaparri coaches clinic on Saturday and he will be using the camera. Well I was afraid he would lose my picture when he had the camera in his possession so I thought better safe then sorry. I hope you enjoy the pics. The tree card was for my hubbies birthday this past Saturday . I used rich razzleberry, dusty durango, and an old in-color true thyme. I used a stamp set from another catalog sell company and the buttons and ink are SU. The other card I used rich razzleberry, pumpkin pie and old olive. I used the medallion stamp on the tag and an SU library clip. The School days pages where for a friends book. I used a retired SU school set. The pattern paper was from a local store and it was double sided. I used the flower pattern side to cut out the apple on my cricut. It matched old olive perfect and I also used so saffron on these pages. The last page is a repeat of a scrap page I posted before but this one I made for my book and the pictures are of my daughter Kayla. She is a senior in High School. Wow how fast time has flew by. I loved her auburn red hair when she was little,it is now strawberry blonde when she does not color it. Again hope you enjoy all the pics.

3x3 Jingle Christmas Set

Good Afternoon everyone!! Hope everyone is having a good Friday. I’m off today and Monday from work so I’m enjoying mine a lot. I have been working on this 3x3 set this week after work . I used the SU Scallop Envelope Sizzix die to make the box. I also used the new ornament punch and stamp set from SU. This is the first project I have made with them but can’t wait to make more. I will have a busy day tomorrow. Both of my girls are going to homecoming. Autumn is a freshman this year so she excited this is her first homecoming. She is actually driving me a little nuts cause she is working so hard to make it “perfect”. My oldest daughter Kayla is a senior so this is her last homecoming. The dress shop she got her dress from totally messed up on her dress and its to late to find another so we are doing the best with what we have. She will still look beautiful but I’m sad that her last homecoming has been stressful and did not turn out like she expected. I will post picture this weekend of the big event.

Cupcake Door Hanger

I am into making boxes to hold goodies lately. I printed this box from the SU demo site then I cut a piece of cardstock and glued into the back of the box. I used a 2 in circle punch and cut at a angle to make the door hanger. I like the way it turned out. I figure I will have to use a light weight treat because anything to heavy might break the back. Boy fall is in the air here. The temperatures have dropped and it feels like fall and I love it. I love sweaters and hoodies. Another thing I love about fall is Halloween. Here are the first of some of the Halloween cards and a pizza box for the season. I used From the Crypt and Grateful Greetings stamp sets. I also used the striped Pumpkin ribbon and all SU paper.

Simple Medallion Cards

I can’t believe that September is almost over. Before we know it Christmas will be here. I have had this Medallion stamp for a bit and have not gotten to play with is until last week. I love it!! The design is so pretty and I believe there is so much you can do with it. On these two cards I used a brayer with light ink and rolled it onto white textured cardstock. I like the distressed layer look of it. I then inked the Medallion stamp in Rose Red and used a close to cocoa marker on the ends. I then finished it off with a pearl and some ribbon from SU. They are very simple card that can be used for any occasion.

Children Scrap Pages

These pages are going into a book I am making for someone. The book is for twins that are in kindergarten. Most of the pages I have used CTMH and some SU products. I love the big flowers from CTMH!!! I have used up my first set of them and had to order more this month. The all boy pages I used Bo Bunny Stickers and pattern paper. The childhood page I used SU cardstock and ribbon and CTMH pattern paper and stamp set. On the all girl pages I used CTMH paper, cardstock, stickers and buttons. I hope to finish the book this week because I need to finish working on my oldest daughters scrapbooks because she is a senior this year. Christmas Flip Page

Here is a flip page I worked on a few days ago. The top page is a 9 x 9 page protector glued to the back of the 12 x 12 underneath. I found a video tutorial on how to do this on Tresa Black’s Blog. It is a really cool u tube that shows two different ways to do interactive pages the technique I used is towards the end of the video. I used mostly SU products but the 9 x 9 and pattern paper is CTMH.

Mojo 97 Razzleberry Medallion

It's been a long time since I have done a challenge of any kind. I love the sketches on Mojo Monday and check them out every week . I finally sat down to try this weeks sketch and ended up making four. A little over kill I know but I am going to need some birthday cards soon so I’m stocked up for now. I’ve also have some scrap pages that I plan to post next week. I love the Medallion BG stamp!! It is so versatile and I have visions of some winter cards using it maybe in blue. Have to see what I come up with. I used new in color cardstock and razzleberry lemonade designer paper on all the cards. On the cupcake card I went with a square image instead of a circle. I put glossy accents on the cupcakes and heated it with a heating gun. It bubbles and puffs up to look like icing. I took a close up so you might be able to see it better.

Extreme Happiness Card

Good Morning !! Here are two more cards I made this week. The first card I made using the Extreme Happiness set for CTMH. I used it the other day in a layout with pictures from our vacation. I second generation rock and rolled the flower using tempting turquoise. What this means is you ink your image then stamp it lightly on a scrap paper then roll the edges in the same ink. This set has different stamps for each part of the Hibiscus flower so I used same ink for center and summer sun for the middle thingy. Because they are acrylic stamps it was very easy to stamp each layer. The second card I’ve done before this one is just in different colors. Have a great day and thanks for visiting.

I love this new Designer Paper from SU!! It is definitely my favorite set of paper in the new catty. The colors are so vibrant!! I made two cards using new in colors and Razzleberry Lemonade DP. I used sets I already have cause new sets are just not in the budget right now. My oldest daughter is a senior now and I’m saving for her pre-college classes and senior cuts. Wow having a senior is expensive!!! I’m looking forward to this year and I’m excited for her. I used the SU Sizzix butterfly die on the 5x5 butterfly card. I was inspired by a card on Laurie’s Blog. I’m enjoying my days off so far I have not scraped a lot yet but hope to remedy that soon. I plan to make some cards today with my new in color cardstock and Razzleberry lemonade paper. I love this new set of designer paper from SU it is so pretty.
These are the first pages I have finished from our vacation this year to Myrtle Beach. I used CTMH Moon Doggie paper and Stickers I also used CTMH Extreme Happiness stamp set with Stampin’ Up! Ink. Wow life is crazy!!!

Just when I thought life was going to calm down a bit for me it goes a little nuts. We went on our family vacation and had a blast!! I love being with my family. There were twelve of use total between two condos. On the last day before we were heading home we found out our basement flooded because a drain pipe backed up. It back up because we got three inches of rain in a couple of hours. A lot of people who have never had problems with water getting in their homes had water get in. So we have spent this week since getting back cleaning out. The worse damage was in our storage room where the floor drain is. We tossed a lot of stuff that was in cardboard boxes and reorganized. My husband said yesterday when we finishing up on the storage room that maybe it was a good thing this happened cause we got rid of a lot of stuff and the storage room looks really good. I think his black eye will fade in a week or two. ;) Now we just have to wait for the musty smell to go away. We have hurried along the process with two air purifiers. I am posting some projects I completed before we left for the beach. I do not have any supplies to post cause I have forgotten most of what I used so this time I’m just posting the picture and if I figure out what I used I’ll post it later. The card was for my sister’s birthday and I dry embossed using a brass stencil and a light box. The page that has picture on it is of my hubby and his sisters. Manhattan Flower Birthday Cards

I made these two cards for friends at work who have birthdays this week. We got them cream filled donut holes (yum!!) and flowers they can plant outside. I'm the official card maker for all events we ladies need at work. :) There is a demo whose card is published in this months Stampin' Success and I cased her card. Stampin’ Success is a monthly mini magazine Stampin' Up! sends to current demos. Her name is Jodi-Danielle Kutz from Sarnia, Ontario. I like to give credit to those who inspire me and her card was beautiful. I hope to do some scrappin this week I am now finished with my second job so have more free time. Wow I can’t believe how much I got done yesterday . Here are two more cards I finished yesterday. I made copies of some to send out to a few friends who are sick or have had surgery. This Sense of Time set is great. It makes great guy cards and can easily be used for female cards too. It would be great for grad cards and I’m going to try to scrap with is soon too. I checked out the Sense of Time gallery on splitcoast yesterday and found a few cards that inspired mine. Click on the name of the cards to see the fabulous cards that inspired me. I’m also in the middle of reading the Twilight series. I finished book two New Moon in less then 48 hours and started Eclipse today. I love this new oval all and scallop oval punch from Stampin’ Up! There are so many ways that they can be used. I used some CTMH embellishments that I have had for a bit but have not used. I used the pretty pins that is new in this catalog and my sister and I split some Jolee glass beads from Michael’s that I used to add some extra sparkle to the top. We also split a large package of earring backs to put on the tip of the pins so when they are mailed or given they will not stick someone. I also used the Emporium Creative Basic paper package from CTMH. On the Just For You card I was inspired by this card on SCS by AmyStamper I really like her card!!

Lately I have found that I don’t get many of my scrap stuff from stores anymore. I have been getting most of my goodies from SU and CTMH. About the only supplies I have been picking up at local stores are glue products. It seems like the stores have the same old supplies but with the constantly new catalogs and minis from both companies they stay fresh and hopping. Also my time is in short supply lately and it is easier to pick things out of catalogs while at home or sitting in a doctors office then looking around stores.

My daughter Kayla got all four wisdom teeth out yesterday and is not feeling to good. She is so swollen!!! I don’t remember it being this bad when I got mine out back in my twenties. I can’t wait for this week to be over and this be all behind her. I really hate when my girls are hurting or feel bad.

Some Scrappin and Cards

I done some scrap pages and cards the past couple of weeks that I wanted to upload. I made these scrap pages to get ready for Easter pictures of my girls. I’m so looking forward to Easter. I love spring and I am so tired of cold weather!!! I also love making basket for my girls and hubby. My oldest daughter is into paper crafting to so I am making her a basket full of paper, ink and etc. My other daughter is into sports and music so I plan to get her some ipod gift cards and sporty stuff like a Nike pack and cool water bottles she can use at practice. Autumn is into tennis now to keep in shape for basketball. My hubby has a sweet tooth so I get him his favorite candy.

I made the baby card to go with a gift for a young couple who are having their first baby next month. I made two to pick from. One using corduroy buttons and another using ribbon. The last card is for a friend who had surgery today.

Thoughts and Prayers

My Hubby is out with some friends target shooting this morning so I used the time to get some cards made. I made a card for my Aunt Faye in Georgia, she is started cancer treatments this week. I also made a thank you card for a friend who sent me flowers. The cards where pretty quick to make mostly because I did the embossed image the other night so all I had to so is create and put the cards together. I use the new Parisian Breeze specialty designer paper on both cards and wow I really like the texture and thickness of the paper. I am getting Rockability on my next order. I like the stamping resist method it is pretty easy and I like the soft color around the image.

Branching Out

Got to play around last night with some of my new stuff. I love this branching out set. The tree is very versatile and love the little add-ons like the rain boots. I embossed Baja Blue with the new Sizzix embossing templates that SU sell. Then sponged the edge with ranger paint dauber. I also played with the thoughts and prayers set but did not finish the card yet. I am trying out embossing resist ( think that is what it is call ). It is where you heat emboss the image and then sponge ink over it. Don’t know it I like how it is turning out yet, guess I’ll just have to wait and see the finish card and then make up my mind.

Been Awhile!!

I have been MIA lately and for all of you who check my blog regularly for updates thanks so much. Two weeks ago we lost my Aunt Ann. I wrote about her in my last post. She was in ICU and we hoped she would recover but she got an infection in her lungs that she just could not fight. She was my moms younger sister and best friend. I spent my whole life, before I was married, living only a mile away from her and my uncle. We rode to church together, vacationed and spend holidays together. Ann was like a another mom to me and my sister and she was one of the most loving and sweetest ladies you could meet and we will all miss her so much. Please remember my mom and uncle in your prayers. My uncle is doing as well as can be expected but my mom is having a really hard time with it.

I have not felt very crafty lately but wanted to post these cards I made a couple of weeks ago. We made them in my last card class. The first card I try “thumping” for the first time and really like the results. I used Color Challenge (CC203) on Splitcoast.

I also need to make thank you cards for a friend who sent me a flower arrangement and one for my sister-in-law for bringing me a spring wreath for my door. I hope to post some cards before the week is out.

CTMH Emporium Layout

I used the new creative basics set from CTMH Emporium. It is a really nice set with paper and ribbon that coordinates. I plan to take some black and white picture of the girls, Jerry and our pup to put on this layout. There is seven mats to place photos. I started on the layout Saturday and did not get to finish it until this evening. But I really like how it turned out. I also used one of the scrap idea books from CTMH.

We have had a busy life lately. My Aunt is in ICU and we have gone to hospital to visit her and my Uncle. I hope they will have her out of ICU soon and on the road to recovery. I know my uncle is very tired and would like to have back her home. They have been married 51 years!! I think that is so cool!! My husband and I will celebrate our 18th anniversary Monday. We are going out on a “date” Saturday. Our very big news is…our oldest daughter got her drivers license yesterday. Kayla is so excited and she did a great job on the test. But I still have a few more gray hairs now worrying about her. I will post some pictures of her and her car soon when the rain stops and I can get some good pictures.

Another Mojo Card

I need to make a card for my friends birthday tomorrow so I made another card using this weeks Mojo sketch. I can’t wait to see the sketch tomorrow. I also made a card using my upsy daisy set. Mojo 71

This is a card I made for our niece Tiffany’s 22nd birthday. Happy Birthday Tiffy!!! We celebrated tonight at a local Mexican restaurant and then back to her partents home for cake and gift. I made the inside of the card with a pocket made out with the Top Note Die to put “cash” in. Who doesn’t need cash. I used the Mojo sketch from this week. I love the Mojo sketches and wish I had time to do them every week. We have been off all week for the snow/ice storms. Wow has it been messy here. There are tons without power and they say most will not get it back until mid February. Also there is another storm predicted to move in this Monday so we will most likely miss more school. You would think this would excite me but it doesn’t. Everyday we miss we have to make up which eats into summer break. I would much rather be off in summer the now. My mojo is so low when the weather is like this and I do not feel much like scrapin’. I feel so much more creative when the weather is warmer. Oh well I guess I will just deal. We will be off again tomorrow, that makes the whole week off, so maybe I can get some more creative juices flowin’ tomorrow. I used CTMH stuff I got last week to make this card. The inside of the flower is stamped with French Script from SU.

CTMH Unforgettable Scraping

I was off today from work and got to play with some new stuff I got from CTMH. My sister is a new consultant with them and I got some new paper and sets that I could not wait to scrap with. I also got the Reflections idea book and that thing is awesome is full of patterns and example that make scraping effortless. I will defiantly be getting the other two scrap books they have. My sister got the Originals idea book that is full of card patterns and ideas and she really likes it also. This picture is of me and my niece Bethany. I was around 16 here and we where on a family trip. I can’t believe how skinny I was and my nails looked so good. I can’t grow them long because of my job in the kitchen and I never get time to paint them anymore. I sponged the flowers to color them in. Actually I sponged all the edges and distressed them also. I love distressing edges. I am working on another page that I hope to post in the next couple of days.

MoJo Monday #68 Sketch Challenge

I Love this Sketch!! It is from this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch. I have seen some wonderful cards on different blogs and splitcoast using this sketch and they are wonderful. There is so much you can do with it. I made two cards using it. The buttons from the Valentine card are from my husbands old UPS uniforms. When he had some wear out or “shrink” to much, really it had nothing to do with him gaining weight, we cut off the buttons before trashing them. I have a baggie full and pulled them out for this card. We have had a busy week and I have not gotten to play much. But they are forecasting snow this week so I may have a day off from work and get to “play” in my scrap room.

Sympathy Cards

Autumn wanted me to make a card for her friend whose grandfather passed away. The visitation is this evening so I made these cards while she was at basketball practice. Both of my girls have big hearts but Autumn wears hers on her sleeve like her Daddy. It bother her that her friend was upset and wanted to have something to tell her how sorry she is. Autie is always asking for cards, she the daughter that is really not that interested in “scrap crap”, but usually asks about 10 minutes before she needs it. So I think I am going to make her a box with different cards in it so she has them on hand when she needs them. When I will find the time to make said box, since I am going back to work tomorrow, is anyone’s guess. I was inspired by a card I saw this morning on split coast. These cards were pretty easy and fast to make. I used my much loved top notes die . I also used two different cuttle bug folders to see which one I liked best. I think I like the vines with flowers more then Swiss dots on this card. I love the CB folders because they make a simple card pop. I went ahead and made two so I would have another on hand when I needed it.

Halloween Party Pages

This is another layout I got finished today. These pages are for my Mother-in-law’s scrapbook that I have been working on. We had a family Halloween party this past year at my Sister-in-laws home. My hubby and I where bikers, Autumn was Red Riding Hood and Kayla was Mrs. Joker but lost Mr. Joker at the last minute cause he had to go to work. If you have not figured it out yet from the pictures couples came dressed in theme. Mickey and Minnie (our niece Morgan and her boyfriend) Billy Ray and Hannah (our other niece Tiffany and boyfriend). Which is kind of funny since Billy Ray Cyrus came from our area and graduated from the school that I work for. Anyway I used some purple cardstock I got from Hobby Lobby and an SU wheel for the bottom. I used some Halloween pattern paper I’ve had stashed away and I also used Gable Green for the picture mats and sponged Elegant Eggplant around the edges. I plan to scrap some of the same pictures and some Black and Whites for us later on.

Beach Baby

My sister took this picture of Autumn at the beach when she was a tiny tot. She has had it framed on her piano for years and I have always loved it but never got around to taking it to Wal-mart to get a copy. Well we went together and got our mom a digital frame for Christmas. So one day Kim brought over a stack of old picture from when our kids where young to scan on my all in one printer to put on a SD card and this picture was one of them. That afternoon I placed a order on Wal-mart.com and got a 5X7 copy of this picture. Autie looks so cute!! She was taking a shell she found on the beach to her Aunt Kimmy and Kim picked the perfect time to snap a picture. Boy do I miss these days when my kids where little!!! I used some CTMH textured paper that Kim and I purchased and split this summer when they had bundle going one. I really do not know the names of the paper right off. I used it because of the white core that is great to sponge when you tear it.

I hope everyone had a great New Years. We had friends and family over Wednesday night about 25 people where here to eat, visit and play games. We had a lot of fun!! Yesterday Jerry, Autumn and I vegged out all day and did nothing but watch TV and eat Chinese and pizza. Encore had a Planet of the Ape marathon on that we got into. Jerry and I remembered loving these movies when we young and we still like them but are amazed at the huge difference in movie effects from then and today.
Today Jerry had a doctors appt so I headed to my scrap room to play with some of my new stuff from SU. I really like this new set from SU. I liked it the very first time I saw it online to pre-order. I like all the different flower to use and it looks so springy. I am so tired of the short days and cold dreary weather. I am so ready for warm weather and flowers. I used SC209 on split coast for this card. I also used the new raspberry tart designer paper that will be in the new catalog coming JANURARY 18th. I can’t wait to see the new catty!! I got to play with the Love You Much bundle today and I love it!!!! The paper is so pretty and the set is very nice. I also really like the different shapes and sizes on the three heart punch. I got to make a layout and a card today and plan to make many more projects with it. I foresee getting more paper when it comes available in the new catalog.

This is a gift my sister (Kim) made me for my birthday last month. I wanted to put it on my blog cause it is sooo pretty!! She did a great job on it and she does not blog so I put it on mine. She is like the Ribbon queen!! The picture is of my family and I at Disney this past summer. She also got me a bag of scrap goods which include a CTMH stamp set of the month I wanted and did not get when it was out, CTMH fibers, Lasting Legacy cupcake paper and lots more. I love Birthday presents from Kim because it is always the coolest scrap stuff cause she is addicted like me.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!! I hope all of you have a day full of wonderful memories. I wanted to upload a card I made for our niece and her husband for Christmas. We will be giving it to them today. Their gift is a “Night Out”. We got them movies certificates, O’ Charley card and Starbucks card. Everything they could need for a date night. I think I might me a little Snow Swirled obsessed. I love this set. Bethany loves brown and teal so I used those colors. This is like a card I made a few weeks back I just enlarged it. I used Choclate Chip textured and for the card holders I used the Sizzix fill folder.

Mini Pizza Boxes

I am in the process of making nine mini pizza boxes for my co-workers at after school. I will be filling them with a mix of Christmas wrapped chocolate candy (Mini Reese’s, Kisses, Mini Hershey bars). I have completed four this weekend and will get the rest done on Tuesday. Our last day before break is Thursday. Check back by the end of the week for pictures of the rest. There will be five total different designs.

Snow Swirled 12 x 12 Layout

I have wanted to try and have a scrapbook class for awhile now. I have a card class about every month and couple of years back I had three 2-page layout scrap classes and had nice attendance on the first one but no attendance on the second and third. So I thought I would try again. I’m not getting my hopes up because I know that it is the Christmas season and some may not have time to attend. We will just have to see. I love this stamp set. I have made so many variety of cards and now I have scraped with it. I have really gotten my money’s worth out of it.

I hope everyone enjoys the Christmas music. I spent the morning on project play list trying to find a variety of music. I’m kind of a eclectic girl when it comes to music. I like about everything but country. I also changed my background to the closest template that blogger has to go with Christmas. Grey was the only thing I could find. But grey looks good with the red play list I think. I have been working a few extra hours at one of my jobs this week and keeping up with kids so I only got to make one set of cards this week. I got the Snowman set from CTMH a couple of weeks ago and could not wait to try it out. I used the sketch challenge from last week on split coast. Autumn's Layout

My youngest daughter Autumn brought home her 8th grade pictures right before our break started. She did not like them very much but really what female likes pictures of herself. I use to dodge cameras every change I got but now I don’t fight it so much cause I know that my girls will want them when they are older. I love pictures of my family in every form so I know that they will cherish pictures of me also. I just wish I could get my mom and husband to understand this to. Anyways as soon as she brought her pictures to me I knew I wanted to do a 12 x 12 layout of the 5x7. I usually do not do 12 x 12 layouts of one picture but I thought this one was to cute to add other pictures with. I realize that this time next year her braces will be off ( heaven help her Dad and Me) and her looks will change yet again so I wanted to preserve this image. Both my girls are growing up so fast. My oldest will graduate high school next year!!! Wow!! I do not think I am ready for them to grow up. Don’t you wish sometimes you could zap them back little again.

I used mostly Close to My Heart supplies for this page. The flowers where white and I mixed create-a-shade paint (CTMH) and groovy guava re-inker (SU) and sponge painted it over both flowers until they where completely covered. I really like the pearly shine it gave the flowers.

These are three of the five cards I will be having at my monthly card class this evening. I thought with the holidays coming it would be a good time to make some Christmas cards. I really like this set because it can easily be used on cards or scrap booking. As you can tell I like to use non-traditional colors on Christmas cards. I will be off from both jobs all next week for Thanksgiving so I hope to get more time to create and blog.

Shaker Village

This is the second layout I have completed on my days off. This layout is of our boat ride at Shakers Village when we went to Lexington on my Hubby’s 40th. I was inspired by the WICKED challenge on the demo only forum on split coast. The wicked challenge is to use only current SU products but I used Basic Grey paper and Prima flowers so I will not list it under the challenge but I loved the sketch so I wanted to give credit where it is due. Well I need to get a shower so I can go vote!! Boy am I nervous to see how it all comes out. Oh I go swap cards yesterday and WOW are they wonderful. Some very talented ladies is all I can say.

UK Big Blue Madness

I am off from work today and tomorrow and I am finally getting some scrapping done. This is the first layout I finished so far today. It is of out day trip for Jerry’s 40th birthday Oct. 10th. This layout is of the Big Blue Madness scrimmage we went to that evening. I used our tickets and a big badge a local channel was giving out for embellishments. I cut off the pin on back with wire cutters and doubled up on foam on back to make it stick. I actually cut the foam that holds pop dots and stuck it on back. I hate to waste. I also used SU five petal, scallop circle and circle punches to make my own embellishments. The buttons are from Wal-mart and the cardstock is CTMH textured.

Wow has my life been busy!!! I have not gotten to post in awhile because of work, family and really because I am just to tired to type in the evenings. I have gotten to play some in my room this week and hopefully will get to play a lot this weekend since I will be off Monday and Tuesday from work. Wohoo!! I hope to get some scrapping done. I need to get some pages done of our puppy and some more pages from our trip this summer. Well anyways here are some birthday cards I have made this week. I join my first swap ever this week. Well I have swaped with the girls in my upline from SU before but never one where you make several cards and send them all to one person. The Swap was from Spitcoast it was on the forum of SU Demo users. It was a WOW 10 + 1 swap. I join two groups so I end up making two sets of eleven cards. You had to us only SU products and have four layers and three embellishments. I was a little low on Christmas looking paper so I had to reverse the pattern paper on the Kiwi and Riding Hood cards. Let me tell you I am a little nervous!!!! Will the Post office get my cards there safely?? Will everyone like my cards?? And many more questions pop into my head. I can’t wait to see everyone’s cards and let me tell you I’m not good at waiting!! I am getting a some Stampin’ Up! Goodies this week so that will have to tide me over until the cards come. This is another set I got in my last order. When I got the new SU catalog fell in love with pages 8 and 9 so these cards were inspired from those pages. I used some different colors and ribbon but the idea was close. I love distressing paper so I tore on the first card and inked the edges on the next. I also use last weeks sketch challenge.

I love this set and paper!! It is so easy to work with and make some really cute stuff. I got this set last week (along with a few other of course) and could not wait to play with it. The witch hat is so cute and I love images with word use as part of the background. The Ghostly Greetings paper is adorable also. I love the skulls and bats. I plan to make some treats for my buddies at work and some scrap pages with this set and paper. I will have to order another package of paper on my next order because I will be using this one up fast with the projects I am doing and I also plan to use some in my card class next week.

Remaining cards for my Mom's gift set

I finished my Mom’s set of cards last week but with my daughters’ basketball games have not had time to post them. I made eight cards total and use the same CTMH set on all for them. I used different sketch challenges from split coast and different blogs. It has been a week and I can not remember where they all came from. I am now working on a Halloween set and some other Halloween projects that I hope to post tomorrow. Autumn’s Middle School games are over for now until she starts playing with the freshmen team in November. She loves playing Basketball but I think she will be glad for a few weeks rest before practice starts again. So now I should have more time to create and post.

Garden Card Magazine Holder

I am working on this set for my mom as part of a gift for her birthday. She is very hard to buy for. She is not into any hobby or colleting anything and she is kind of picky about her cloths. So my sister and I took her out to eat and this set and some mums for the front of her house is what I plan to give her. She is 73 now and has everything so I want to give her something I have made and she will have some cards on hand when she needs them. I have four made and plan to make copies of them until the holder is full. I will most likely have it all done by Friday. I used the CTMH stamp set of the Month Treasure Life. I like the garden look of this set. I also got a SU order of new paper and sets today and can’t wait to play with them.

These pages are for a scrapbook I have been working on for my mother-in-law. It has been a very slow process because of work and going through pictures. I used some new “toys” I got this week from CTMH. The trees are from a set call Evergreen. It is a really neat set with several different sizes and designs of trees. I also used the new Christmas creative basic paper. I used riding hood red ink instead of real red because my real red pad is messed up for some reason. It will not dry and just smears very bad so I am getting a new one on my next order.

I finally got to play around yesterday and make some cards. I love the sheer green ribbon on the last card . I purchased it Friday from a local scrapbook store. It is so soft and scarf like..very easy to work with. I have used it all so I will be doing back this week to get more. The Halloween card was a time consuming project but I like how it turned out. I think it would be cute to put a wallet size picture of kids in costume in it. I would like to find the time to make a few Christmas ones with my girls and our new puppy in it to send to family that live far away. I just have to find the time. My sister and I order the Hero Arts cupcake set last week and this is the first card I made from it. I really like the bella paper. It is so pretty. Busy Busy Busy

Hello everyone!! I wanted to let you all know that I have been very busy so I have not gotten to post lately. I am scrapbooking with my after school kids. I have eight in my group and we are doing two to three pages a week so I have been in my scrap room but have not gotten to work on anything else but creating and cutting pages for eight first to third graders. 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 Card Magazine Holder

I love the little 3x3 card magazine holder from Becky Roberts. I have made more but have yet to make the cards to go into them so I have not posted them. But I was really wanting to make one that could hold larger cards. So I sat down yesterday and played around until I figured out the measurements. This is kind of a big deal for me because I never make 3-D projects and to figure this out on my own is well…amazing. These are super easy to make I plan to make a few as gifts for Christmas. I took a picture of the pattern and I hope it is easy to read.

I was blog surfing the other day and found this adorable magazine holder for cards. The wonderful blog I found it on was Becky Roberts (no relation really!!). I love the new In-colors!!! The Pacific Blue really pops. I have seen a few cards made with the scallop top on splitcoast. I really like the top panel on the cards so I thought I would try it out. I believe it is one of the Verve sketch challenge but I have yet to get any Verve sets so I used Priceless.

It's Been Awhile!!

It has been awhile since I have posted on my blog. I have several reasons why I have been away. One is I am back to work and trying to get adjusted to that. Another is I really got into the Dirty Dozen week of challenges and kind of burnt myself out. But the biggest reason I have not gotten to play in my scrapin room is we got a new addition to the family.

This is Sadie our almost three month old mini daschund. She is all of 3 ½ pounds and rotten as can be. My husband found her last Monday at a Kennel on his UPS route. He fell in love with her and sent me and our girls to check her out. We all fell hard for her and added her to our family. She is already spoiled rotten but makes us laugh daily. She has beautiful blue eyes but we do not know if she will keep them or if they will change. She was so quiet and dossal when we got her but has quickly came out of that and is into everything. Anyways I finally stopped playing with the pup long enough to complete a two page layout of the Haunted Mansion from our trip this summer.

Wow I'm Finally Done

I finally finished the Dirty Dares 08’. I had four more cards to complete but had a hard time finishing them because this week has been crazy. First Autumn broke her arm while out side with some friends. So we were at the Orthopedic Doctor on Monday and then Tuesday I had training for work then we had to take her to the hospital so the Doctor could set her arm. This meant that they had to lightly sedate her. He had her sedated so she would not be in to much pain while they set it. She is doing well but has to take some pain killers that make her a little loopy. She has been making me crake -up at some of the crazy things she has said. Also our church is having Bible School this week and I teach the preschoolers. But I really wanted to do all the challenges so I got up this morning and finished them.

Dirty Dozen Challenges!!

I have really gotten into the Dirty Dare 08’ Challenges. In the past two days I have made eight cards for this challenge and that was only for Monday and Tuesday challenges. I have yet to even look at today’s. These challenges have really made me got outside my comfort zone. I used Vellum and water colored oh and I made simple cards using only white cardstock. These are things I rarely do cause they make me a little uncomfortable. I never watercolor I usually color in images with Prima pencils. I really love playing around with vellum and plan to do it more now that I have tried it. I need a lot more practice with water coloring!! And I really like the simple cards using white cardstock. The other challenges where great also making a guy card was fun. I can always use male themed cards. I used the western sets AGAIN cause they just make the best guy cards. The other challenge was to make ribbon your focal point and that was easy for me because I have boat loads of ribbon. Can’t wait to try our the rest of the challenges. I also use Mercy’s Tuesday Sketch and this weeks SC sketch challenge.

I love Jen’s site http://iheart2stamp.com/ but I have never tried out her Saturday sketch challenge before. Usually it’s because I don’t get to play much on Saturday’s because we do family stuff and run around town all day. But today we got in kind of early so I got some playing time in and I loved the sketch so I ended up making two cards with it. I also made a gate card for yesterday’s limited supply challenge on SCS. The first card I was going to use Jen’s sketch but I did not like the looks of the pot of flowers turned crooked so this is what I came up with. So as you can see I have been kind of busy today but I have had a lot of fun!!!

Simple Red, White and Blue

These are a couple of simple cards I made today. They are easy to make several of to send to soldiers. I planned a crop tonight to make cards for soldiers but so far only one friend will be able to come. Summer is so busy with vacation and our kids in sports. My sister gave me several cards to add to the ones we will be making tonight and the ones I will make in the next couple of weeks before I send them in.

Just finished this page of my youngest daughter Autumn. I found these pictures on her camera and loved them. She took them of herself goofing off outside one day. I used Su rub-ons, SU cardstock textured River Rock and Old Olive, SU ink and Markers in Old Olive and Choc. Chip and pattern paper is Chatterbox. Oh and all stamps are Autumn Leaves.

Disney Album

I was in Wal-Mart the other day checking out the clearance in the scrapbook section. I found a plain red linen 12 x 12 for $7.00. I picked it up and as I continued shopping I started looking at this plain red scrapbook and the idea hit me to use my Cricut Mickey font cartridge to decorate it to put this years pages in. I played around with it Wednesday afternoon and came up with this. I used mod podge glue to adhere all the die cuts. I really like the results and my hubby likes the personal touch. I used yo-yo yellow, basic black and whisper white SU card stock.

I made this baby card for a friend of ours. I wanted to take a try at this weeks sketch challenge on split coast and came up with these two cards. The only differences in the two cards is the way I turned the wasabi piece and I put a piece of whisper white under one wasabi piece. I think I like the first card more because the green is more visible. This is a fun sketch and I will use it again.

A Little Scrapbooking

I got to do a little scraping today and yesterday. The first page is of my best friend Amiee. I have been cleaning out a bedroom downstairs that we have been using as a computer room. I am cleaning it out for my oldest daughter (Kayla) because she wants to move into it. It is a little bigger and also has a bigger closet. But the biggest reason is because it will get her away from her younger sister’s room. Right now they are next door to each other and can hear everything the other does. Kayla has trouble sleeping sometimes and will watch TV to get back to sleep and it will wake up Autumn. Then the next day I have grumpy girls fussing with each other. This move will take some stress off me to. While cleaning up I was also cleaning my scrap meeting room. I was looking through some of my scrapbooks and found one of the first pages I had done. It was done with these pictures of Amiee but it was awful. I pulled off the pictures and did this page yesterday with them. Amiee is now 30 and finishing up her residency at Marshall University. We live next to each other when my girls where small and she was in high school. She is like a big sister to my girls.

I finally got to play a little for the first time in about two weeks. We have been kind of busy since we got back from vacation; laundry, cleaning house, grocery shopping (which is seriously scary to do when there is now food left in the house). Wow groceries have gotten expensive lately!! So today when my hubby went out to cut grass I ran to my room and made a card for a bridal shower I will be attending next weekend. This is one of the sets that was waiting on me when I got home, the stamp of the month With Love. I took advantage of the buy two get one free deal this month with CTMH. I am also planning to do some scrap pages with this set also. I used CTMH pattern paper but the rest is SU. Autumn on the Tea Cups

Here are a few pictures of our days so far in the Disney Parks. We still have three more days in the parks and a day to pack up and shop some more before we head home. We are having a blast!!! For a few days there was 13 of us hanging out my aunt, uncle and their grandson (my cousin) came down this week and left for home today. Now there are ten of us. My Mom, sister, her family (husband, niece, nephew, and niece’s husband) my hubby two daughters and me. Tonight we are going to Epcot to hang out it the countries. They have a Irish rock group called Off Kilter I am looking forward to watching. No cards or scrap booking to post until maybe the weekend cause I was not allowed to pack any “scrap crap” as my nephew calls it. So for I have not found anything I like in the Disney stores that I like in the way of scrap booking. I’m just saving all my fast pass stubs, parking pass, ticket and maps to scrap with when I get home.

This is from Mercy’s Tuesday sketch challenge. I used Close To My Heart sets I got a couple of weeks ago, Cottage Flowers and May stamp of the month. I took the idea from the flower from their summer catalog but I used SU cardstock and ink. I really like these set and plan to use Cottage Flowers with some scrap pages when we get back from vacation. This maybe my last post of cards or scrap booking until we get back. Father's Day Cards

I’m so happy to be off for the summer!!! I have gotten to play a little the past couple of days while trying desperately to catch up on laundry. I needed to get some Father’s Day card made so that was the project for today. Two of the cards I used Beate’s Weekend Challenge. Boy has it been I while since I have gotten to try out a challenge of any kind.
I check out the challenges but have not had time to play lately. I really got into distressing!!! Maybe I was trying to relieve some stress leftover from work??? Anyways these cards were a lot of fun making. I used a one 5 ½ X 12 in. piece of Su Designer Paper on all five cards. Tonight my hubby gets to pick which one he want to give to his Dad. We will be celebrating Father’s Day tomorrow with his Family since we all will be on vacation on Father’s Day.

June Christmas Card Challenge

Today I worked on my June CCC08. I realized today that I didn’t make any cards in May for the challenge. My life was just to busy to get to them. I’m just going to let them go and not stress my self out about it. I made this set with a one sheet wonder I came up with for my stamp camp in April. You have to use a 12x12 double sided pattern paper.

First cut is 5 inch then two cuts at 3 ¾ in. ea., you will get three pieces. These pieces I cut in half either way and place on the same card. This is why you need a double sided pattern paper cause I turn on piece over and glue one on top and one on the bottom.

The next cut is 4 in. and then three cuts at 3 in. ea. this will make four pieces.

The last strip left you make two cuts 4 in. ea. this will give make three pieces.

When all cutting is done you only have a small piece of paper left. So there is not much waste and you have enough pieces to make 10 cards.

Today was primary elections in Kentucky so I had the day off from both jobs. I have been excited for this day off because I planned to scrap the day away. I got five of the six pages done to complete my album. I would have finished it but I am waiting on my SU order. I ordered the colozzel starter set and wanted to use the circle template on the last page. I only have two more days left this year in the after school job I started this spring. That means next week I will get to scrap in the afternoons. Can’t Wait!!!
I used Disney paper that I have gotten everywhere. SU Basic Black, Basic Grey, Real Red, Yo-Yo Yellow. My Cricut Disney font cartridge (a real life saver) and Disney punches.

Wow I have not gotten to post in a while. Since I took on the second job last month it is hard to post. Also weekends have gotten kind of busy since the weather has turned warm. I got to make some cards this afternoon cause I had the day off to get a tooth fixed this morning. I got this stamp yesterday and I love it!! When I first saw it in the new mini I did not think I would want it but the more stuff I have seen made with it the more I wanted it. I love how simple it is to come up with ideas with is. But Tart and Tangy is still my fav from the mini. On two of the cards I used the Sketch Challenge from last week. I tried out different embellishments on them and I think I like the pearl card better.

Well here is my weekly upload. Life has gotten so busy lately that I don’t get much of a chance to stamp and blog. I wanted to get my April Christmas Card Challenge done in April so I used this weekend them done. I went really non traditional on these. I like Christmas colors but with spring finally here I have been in the mood spring colors. I usually do two sets a month but with the new second job I am lucky to get one set done. Two of the cards from my last class

Here are a couple cards we made in my last class. The first card was inspired from several cards that I have seen on split coast. I used the SC170. This is a really fast card to make.

My Class Space

Here is another reason I have not gotten to stamp much in the last two weeks. I have a storage room behind my scrapbook room that I clean up recently. So we have been fixing it up for me to have a place for my classes and also have friends over to crop.
Last weekend I get an e-mail that on of my favorite scrapbook stores is closing. They were selling their fixtures so my hubby rushed me into the car to go and check it out. I got these wonderful baskets for $4 and they hold tons of ribbon about 28 regular spools. I purchased five that they had empty and when I saw how great they worked I went and got five more that they will give me when they are empty. I also got three paper racks!! I have one now and can get the other two when they sale the paper in them. I picked up the pegs for the sticker sheets at Wal-mart. Oh and I also got two open front baskets for $3 to hold prima flowers and buttons in bags. We got the peg board at Lowes and we got it all put up last Sunday afternoon. All together the peg board storage we put together cost around $60. This will hold all the ribbon and stickers I could ever get. A year and a half ago I got two Craft Lockers and paid $40 each for them and filled them up as soon as I got home. Anything I had left or purchased since has been in tubs. So I am thrilled to finally have some place to put all my ribbon out so I can see what I have. I will now use the Craft Lockers for my SU ribbon so it is right beside my work area when I am getting ready for classes and stamp camps.
We hung some bright curtains to hind the storage I had left. My uncle and aunt gave us the table two weeks ago when they moved into their new home. The ladies that came to my last class like the soft chairs. When I have bigger classes or stamp camps I will put out a large folded table and folding chairs. We plan to paint this summer so the walls are not grey and dull. The shelves use to be used for toys but in the clean-up I got rid of a lot of toys so I now use it for stamp sets and stuff. I really love this space and I am so thankful for my husband!! He loves to help me fix up my stuff and does not mind shopping with me sometimes.

Sorry I have not Posted

I wanted to let everyone know that I am still here just to busy to scrap and post. I took a second job in the afternoon at Raceland 21st Cnetury after school. So I go to work in the mornings (normally 7:30) at Russell Primary and work in the cafeteria ( I have worked there for eight years) and then I come home grab a shower and clean-up then go over to Raceland and work 3:00-6:00 Monday -Thursday. Needless to stay I don't have a lot of time to stamp those day and when I do my hubby has the lap top and I don't get to post. We also purchased a motorcycle this week and Jerry wants me to go out with him on it. I will hopefully have some new stuff Sunday afternoon to show. Be patient with me cause this second job will be over for this school year the end of May and I will have the whole summer to create!! I hope to get hired on again this fall because I love the after school program. The kids are great and I really like all the people I work with. The program is awesome!! I work with third graders. I get to do art and craft for enrichment!! How cool is that!!

I love these cows from The Angel Company!!! My sister sells TAC and I order this set last week. She brought it to me Tuesday afternoon but today was the first change I got to play with them. I have been working on getting everything cut and ready for my stamp camp the end of this month. I know that it is over three weeks away but I did not want to stress myself getting it ready at the last minute. This is my first camp and I had 7 sign up to attend!! I am so excited!!
